Is this against Google's policies?

No. Google allows businesses to ask customers for reviews. What Google forbids is "review gating" (only asking happy customers), paying for reviews, offering incentives, and posting fake reviews. ReviewEngine does none of those: every customer receives the invitation, and every review — good or bad — is answered the same way.

What's the difference between the public link and private feedback?

Every customer always gets the Google review link. We also offer an optional private feedback channel — a way for a customer to message you directly in addition. It is never used to screen out unhappy customers before they can review; that would be gating, and we don't do it.

How ReviewEngine handles information — in plain language.

What we collect

When you request a free review check or contact us, we receive the details you provide: your name, business name, email, and message. When we provide the service, we work with your business's publicly visible Google reviews and the replies we prepare for them.

What we never do

  • We never sell your information to anyone.
  • We never post fake reviews, and we never ask your customers for anything beyond an honest review.
  • We never access your Google account password — review replies are posted by you from drafts we prepare, or through access you explicitly grant and can revoke at any time.

How we use information

Only to provide the service you asked for: preparing your review check, setting up your review kit, drafting replies, and producing your monthly report. We may email you about your service; we do not send marketing emails to your customers.

Your customers' data

Your customers interact with Google when they leave a review, under Google's own privacy policy. Private feedback sent through our optional channel is delivered to you and is not used for any other purpose.

Deleting your data

Email us at hello@reviewengine.example and we will delete the business information we hold for you within 30 days, except records we must keep for billing and legal reasons.

Changes

Terms of Service

The simple agreement behind a simple service.

The service

ReviewEngine provides a done-for-you Google review system for local businesses: a review page and short link, a counter QR card design, customer invitation templates, reply drafts for Google reviews, and a monthly summary report.

Billing & cancellation

  • Standard price: $29/month per location, billed monthly. Founding clients (the first 10) pay $19/month.
  • There is no annual contract. You may cancel anytime; service continues to the end of the paid month and no further charges are made.
  • Setup is free for Founding clients and waived during the launch period for Standard clients.

Policy compliance — both sides

  • We invite every customer to review and never engage in review gating, incentivized reviews, or fake reviews.
  • You agree not to ask us to filter customers, offer incentives for reviews, or post reviews on behalf of customers. If a request conflicts with Google's policies, we will decline that request and explain why.

No guarantees of results

We guarantee the work described above — invitations sent, every review answered, reports delivered. We do not and cannot guarantee a specific number of reviews, a specific rating, search rankings, or revenue. Reviews reflect your customers' genuine experiences.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of business information you provide and for placing the QR card and using invitation templates in your business. Replies posted under done-for-you are prepared from your reviews; you may review or change any reply at any time.

Liability

Our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before a claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
